We’re Baaaack! We came, we saw, we conquered. The BOTE team treked down south this past weekend for the Key West Paddleboard Classic. From the long hours on the road and uncountable red bulls, we wouldn’t trade it for the great times with friends and podium dances with medals.
The Key West Paddleboard Classic is an annual 12 mile race around Key West every May which brings more than 300 racers to the island for some good fun and competition. From the Kick-Off party at Turtle Kraals to the 12 mile ‘Paddle Around the Island’ and 4 mile Open Race, in less than ideal conditions, I’d say it was a moderate fight but nothing worth having comes easy. We were proud to be a part of the race and can’t wait until next year.
Compliments off to our rad team riders!
Ethan Luppert placing 1st in the Men’s 12’6 Elite, Tanner Chechak snagging 2nd in U19 12’6 Elite, Mini Cuhna in 3rd in Women’s Elite and Mary Ann Boyer in 5th. Corey Cooper rounded out our team placing 2nd in the Men’s 12’6 4mile Open race. BOTE is proud to have an awesome team and look forward to the next road trip.
