What is Silver King?

Sometimes a name is inspired by a season. Sometimes it’s inspired by a moment in time. In this case, the name ‘Silver King’ was inspired by, arguably, the most sought after gamefish in the world - the tarpon.

The tarpon has the ability to make even the most seasoned angler weak in the knees. Its strength, speed and aerial acrobatics is one of the holy grails of the fly fishing world. Known for its tribal vibe and colorful yet blended palette, our Bug Slinger™ designs often uses the tarpon as a central theme in reverence to this fish.
