The term “pura vida” has been present in Costa Rica’s vocabulary for over 50 years. It translates to ‘pure life’ or ‘simple life’. However, it’s more than just a phrase. It’s a way of life.

Nestled in the town of Nosara, Costa Rica with their daughter Magenta, Monica and Mario's family all have embraced the irresistible charm of the pura vida lifestyle. While Monica adheres to the classic 9 to 5 job routine, Mario just kind of “does what he wants” and dances to the whims of his own desires.

Yet, amidst their contrasting paths, they have discovered the secret to harmony—a shared commitment to living in the present moment and cherishing the simple joys that life has to offer. Their journey in life reminds us of the transformative power of pura vida, a power that allows us all to express gratitude for our lives and find happiness in even the most mundane things.
