Fishing? You Need This

"I’ve been using this setup with the Rackham Aero for a few weeks now, and can’t recommend it enough. For a large body of water, it’s the difference between going paddling with a fishing rod just in case, and actually going fishing. It’s fast enough. I’m seeing 3.5 mph on the gps, and 4.5+ if I paddle with it. The battery is amazing for how small and light it is. Just for zipping around between fishing spots and using it as a trolling motor, it’s plenty. I usually stay out for 1.5 - 2 hours and can get away with charging every third trip. For fishing, and in a hurry, I skip the rudder system and just use the larger fin. You can steer with the paddle as you would a canoe. It will veer left slightly, due to the torque of the prop I assume, but it will run fairly straight hands-off allowing you to tie on lures, etc between spots. Drop your transducer off the right to counteract… because you’re definitely adding a fish finder next. Tip: in wind, you can use the motor to hold you on a spot kind of like a gps trolling motor. Just let the wind orient you facing down wind, and reverse will hold you there long enough for a cast or two. I use this a lot."
