If you have even an inkling of fear, then this is probably [read: definitely] not the job for you. If you’ve always thought you landed somewhere in the middle on a line between an Industrial Designer and a Graphic Designer and you can whip up an Illustrator masterpiece in your sleep, then read on, friend.

BOTE is looking for a Production Designer to work with both the Creative and New Products Teams to bring our unrivaled product designs to life. This could mean anything from helping prepare production files for an entire suite of new paddle board designs to rendering a new color of MAGNETumbler to updating packaging files and everything in between.


  • Illustrator product renderings for everything from paddle boards to kayaks to drinkware and apparel
  • Packaging design
  • Production file creation and preparation for manufacturing team
  • Work directly with Creative Director and Sr. Creative Manager to ensure all designs are on-brand and on-spec
  • Support for graphic design team as needed


  • Have expert-level working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Illustrator
  • Have ability to work with and understand CAD models
  • Be able to present a portfolio of work showing examples both of creative experimentation as well as technical ability
  • Be highly detail oriented with excellent project management skills
  • Be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously


  • Associate’s Degree or Equivalent Professional Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a graphic/production designer capacity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management abilities with a proven ability to multi-task and manage several deadlines at once
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to constructively learn from creative critique
  • Passion for paddle boarding/water sports a plus
