I have been researching paddleboards since last summer. I was wanting something good looking, fairly quick and yet stable enough to carry lots of gear and be able to fish from. I also was wanted something durable but figured I would have to trade that off for looks. Finally after hearing about the new gatorshell by bote, I spoke with a rep who informed me looks would be the same as an epoxy board, speed would be almost if not the exact same, and the board would float more weight. He then said it would be 6x tougher then an epoxy board which was a concern due to the fact I transport to the lake. When he said this I was sold, I ordered the board and a week later the truck showed up with my board. It is gorgeous, it is fast, it is stable, and I love to fish from it. I bass fish in Michigan and with this I can go farther up in the lily pads then the boats and get a great workout while fishing. Oh yeah, and after over a dozen uses not even so much as a scratch on it. Bote is the only company that could check off all my wants and requirements and I could not be happier. Keep up the good work and thanks for a great boat, Bote. P.S. Get the Tackle Rac, it is also worth every penny.
I purchased an 2016 12'6" HD Model in Native, along with this protective BOTE Bag, from SouthEnd Outfitters in NC and this Bag been well worth it when transporting and storing the SUP. The case is thick Cordura nylon, stitched tightly and very well made. It is also very durable. Using of the bag avoids dings when loading the SUP on top of my truck for trips to local lakes and areas of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. The bag also keeps all of the dead mosquitoes and other bugs off the SUP that tend to get plastered to it when driving in the American South in the summertime. In addition, I often keep the SUP stored in the wintertime in the BOTE Bag in a shed under our house and this bag keeps the SUP free from salt air, dampness and all of the excess pollen that coats everything the early spring. I strongly believe that BOTE makes the very finest SUPs on the market today . Given their high quality and equivalent cost, why not shell out a bit more to preserve your investment with this well made bag? It just makes sense. Great product.
We love our Bote, can't wait to purchase our next one. Fun for the whole family.
I live in New Orleans We live under sea level hear if most of you guys don't know. This board works for most everything you would want to do on water except bring your grill to cook a large Viking dinna for your boys. Other then that more then I wished for and passed off I bought it a year too soon not to have the cool new options that the 16 HD classics have. But gives me another excuse to get another board....... you never know when you live in NOLA when more then 1 board will be necessary .... #supyourassoff
