I would highly recommend getting a board bag! I have one for my 12' and 14'. Does a great job protecting the board, especially on long road trips with it on the roof rack.
I love my new board bag. I was delivered quickly and the bag fits great.
bought the board bag for my 12 foot flood; perfect fit. Seems durable although hasn't been tested much since it was just recently purchased. Nice padding to protect board and paddle holder is nice feature.
Short Version: Just Buy the Bag. Protect your new board. The new paddle board arrived. I cleared my evening schedule and got to the local lake the same day. It was a beautiful evening - and I had a great paddle session. The dog certainly loved it! By the time I had the board packed back on the car - I was tired. I asked a friend to help unload the (***** and unprotected) board when I got home. They took two steps and dropped it their side of the board in the front yard. On the first day I had it. Arizona homes have rocks in the front yard.... And thus - My board got its first sticker and tape job....After I drove across town to the nearest hard shell SUP shop to find out if the crack went all the way through...(It Didn't.)
