Born and raised in the heart of West Alabama, the outdoors have always been in my blood. I grew up on the rivers and lakes in or around my hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I've always loved anything that involves the outdoors. From hunting and fishing to hiking and camping, I try to spend as much time as I can in the woods or on the water. A couple of years ago, I purchased a cabin on the banks of the Black Warrior River which made the water readily accessible and my passion for SUPing evolved greatly. I love to paddle, fish, and explore the waters that I live on. \nUpon graduation from the University of Alabama and the Alabama Fire College, I started a career as a firefighter\/EMT with the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service. When I'm not working, I can usually be found in the woods hunting whatever is in season, or on the water getting in an evening paddle on my Bote board along the Black Warrior River. I enjoy traveling, photography, backpacking, and participating in short-term mission trips with my church. \nFun fact: I've got a 1976 Volkswagen Bus that is the ultimate adventure machine.
