The Original BOTE® Tackle Rac was a SUP industry first. It was the first BOTE accessory, and part of what made BOTE a BOTE. The beauty of the Tackle Rac was that it wasn't a part of the board, but an optional accessory. When lead designer Corey Cooper came up with the idea of BOTE, he designed the Tackle Rac as an actual leaning post to be used in aide to reeling in fish. Since, it has evolved into so much more.
Not an angler? Not a problem. Functionality is important to BOTE and BOTE knows that functionality is important to you. The Tackle Rac slides in and out of compatible boards literally with one hand, and doesn't have to be used for fishing gear. Throw your beach bag on it, mount your Go Pro to it, or take it completely out and go surfing! It is fully welded from marine grade anodized aluminum and powder coated in three different colors: white, black, and seafoam.
The BOTE Tackle Rac features two arm pegs on each side to hold a Camel Bak Daypack, backpack, Tackle Web, scuba gear, beach bag, cooler bag, literally almost anything you can hang, you can hang on a Tackle Rac and take paddling with you. The Tackle Rac will hold it high, dry, and out of your paddling way.
It is the perfect accessory for long distance paddles, or overnighters that require a lot of gear. It was a must on the BOTE Glades 100 Expedition.
Also on the Tackle Rac are 2 rod holders. They will hold conventional, spinning, and are also slotted for fly rods and reels. Just slide them in, and head out. When out on the water, all you have to do is turn around, grab your rod, and you’re ready to fish!
BOTE Tackle Racs are now available on our Drift Aerobote Inflatables (Availble in Classic and Realtree Max 5) with the BOTE Tackle Rac receivers. By adding the functionality of the Tackle Rac to the ease of storage and portability of the Drift Aerobote, it creates a board that is unrivaled in the paddle sport/angling world.
BOTE Boards Lead Designer Corey Cooper can tell you, though simple, the BOTE Tackle Rac is one of the most functional and necessary accessories you can have on a paddleboard.

BOTE AMBASSADOR HIGHLIGHT:
BOTE Fishing Ambassador Landon Mace loves using the Tackle Rac. “I love the Tackle Rac simply for the fact that it easily holds my fishing gear and I can just grab it and go. Board, paddle and Tackle Rac can all be taken in one trip from the house or vehicle. I have mine loaded out with Tacklewebs to hold my tackle boxes, soft plastics, dry boxes, etc. I also like to attach a backpack to it for those long days. Must have for anyone carrying gear on the water.”
