Growing up in Panama and spending summers in Costa Rica, being in water became second nature to me. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve boating, fishing, snorkeling, diving and anything having to do with water. Many weekends were filled with driving to the beach, driving dune buggies, building huge bonfires, collecting sea life and, of course, fishing. While on these family trips, I would watch my Uncle jump into the ocean countless times with just a spear and emerge from the water with a stringer full of fish—I wanted to be just like him. A lot of the time while the adults were having fun drinking on the boat, the children were left to man the rods, which is where I first caught the fishing bug. All of a sudden, my line peels off in a fury and then a majestic billfish breaches the water. Although I did not land him, I was in awe and from that moment I was hooked!
Today my home is in North Florida on a beautiful stretch called Santa Rosa Beach; a scenic community of beaches right on the Gulf Coast that is my playground. Most days I can be found off one of the beaches or the bay exploring new spots or catching my dinner.
One of my other passions is modeling, which I have been doing since I was 13. Being a people person, marketing and promotional work are fun for me. A couple of years ago I was asked to do an event for a SUP company and although I find myself to be clumsy, I loved it! Since then, I have been combining my love of fishing on paddle boards with my job and have loved every second of it!
